Kimberly Panfil

Assistant Director of BHS Theatre

Acting/ Advanced Acting

This is Kimberly Panfil’s second year at  Birdville High School, but she is no stranger to teaching and directing for the stage.  She comes to BHS from North Richland Middle School, also in Birdville ISD. At NRMS, she led a successful theatre arts department  and featured an advanced Select theatre arts program. This program earned Superior ratings each year at the BISD Middle School One-Act Play Fest. She has also received the “First Year Teacher Excellence Award for Middle School” from the Birdville Independent School District.

At BHS, Mrs. Panfil (or Pan) proudly leads the acting/ advanced acting portion of the theatre department. In her debut season at Birdville, she directed the fall production of Elephant’s Graveyard, the UIL One-Act Play entry Trojan Women (which advanced from District and won Best Actress), and led the technical direction of the musical Once Upon a Mattress.

She received her BFA in Theatre Arts from Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas. While attending TSU, she enjoyed working on and off the stage. In addition to directing, designing, tech-crewing, and performing in main-stage productions and musicals, she served as a feature performer with the IMPROV @ Tarleton  Troupe.

She served an internship in Hebron, CT at Easter Seals Camp Hemlocks as their theatre director/ camp counselor. She also obtained an internship with Circle Theatre in downtown Fort Worth and later served as their resident House Manager.

Pan loves her StageHawk family and looks forward to the upcoming season!
